Hello fellow Modelers and all other Technology Types!
A few years ago I started thinking about what I want to do with the rest of my life and I came up with the following plan. First I have always loved Science and Technology - Model Airplanes of all types, (paper airplanes, Free Flight, Control Line, and R/C ) have always been a big part of my life.
Airplanes are of course challenging and fun to fly - I have always been interested in learning new techniques in building, designs, and in the materials used. After I first went into the first military then into the civilian work force I realized that modeling created an outlet for one's creative inspirations, just as Art or Music does.
While working in Japan my local Hobby Shop owner and Friend Miyaoka-san showed me a Kalt Baron 20 with Collective Pitch and my mechanical soul was instantly turned on to Helicopters in addition to Airplanes! Domo Arigato Miyaoka-san! Then I decided to spend the rest of my life doing what I really want to do most of all and along the way to help others realize their dreams at the same time - Helos Aviation Technologies LLC was born.
My mission is to create a business to enjoy and take care of my family and to help others to enjoy their Hobby and to develop their Creative Talents as much as possible. To do this I will find a few really great products and work to develop others. I want to encourage others to develop their skills and their ideas. We need all generations to learn and develop ideas, advance science and engineering, and to develop a sprite of helping others to do the same.
We are the North American Distributors ( USA & Canada ) for Anderson Servos Under our name Helos - Anderson North America We import the Blitz Avro 90 F3C/3D Helicopter ( An Extremely Well Engineered and No Compromise Helicopter from England ) and Parts and some key accessories, PRO-RC Flybarless Systems, Novarossi Helicopter Engines and parts, CSM Gyros - Rev Locks - Smart Carbs, Quick UK Products, Gryphon Voltage Regulators, Outrage TORQ Brushless Servos, Outrage Helicopters, Selected Compass Helicopters and parts, SSP Silicone Grease, Combo Packages of Helicopter + μRondo + Novarossi Engine, and other selected products.
Our first key product is the Blitz Avro 90 Helicopter, a helicopter designed over a period of 4 years before being introduced and which is still being refined. Blitz's Avro 90 is very much a custom helicopter design. The parts for the Avro 90 are machined and finished to the highest standards, when one assembles an Avro 90 the parts fit perfectly. The Avro 90 is Engineered to produce an incredable FAI Competition Machine and a very high performance 3D machine as well. Neal and Amanda at Blitz are a pleasure to work with! I have been in modeling for 50 years, free flight, control line, and R/C; and electronics for more than 40 years - Pershing Missile US Army, Minuteman ICBM USAF, Medical Ultra Sound Systems, Electronic Instruments Hewlett-Packard and Yokogawa Hewlett-Packard in Japan for 9 years and Linear Semiconductor Applications at Linear Technology Corp for 19 years.
I got my first taste of building and flying helicopters while working in Japan during the 80's, my local hobbyshop owner and friend, Miyaoka-san got me to buy a Kalt Baron 20 with Collective Pitch control and I discovered a new world. I have always been attracted to electronics and mechanics and helicopters put it all together for me, I built - took apart that Baron 20 four times before I built it for real! Nine years later just before leaving Japan I would find myself working for Mr. Oki, president of Kalt Helicopters, on a electronic control system for the turbo jet products he was importing from JPX in France. As a military brat I lived in Japan at several different times, I was there in 1955 to 1958 in Gifu Japan where I saw the first PACAF model championships - Like going to the NATS. Later from 1963 to 1966 I lived at Green Park Tokyo where again I went to the PACAF contest at Tokorozawa where I met Mr. Oki who handled all the Military hobbyshops around Japan - I never dreamed I would work for him someday on some spcial projects.
We are a team committed to providing and producing the highest quality products and tools for modelers and professionals to enjoy and to enhance creativity, We will design and develop products and tools as we evolve and other products will be added to our line. In addition after working for 40 years in electronics, mostly in R&D and applications I have developed useful ideas for Prototyping Circuits and Tools which is now a part of our electronic product line.
